ScreenFreeFamily makes money in two ways, and you should be able to tell which is which on every page of this site.

Products we sell ourselves

Anything marked Original is made and sold by ScreenFreeFamily. You buy it here, we deliver it, and we keep the proceeds. No third party is involved.

Products we recommend

Anything marked Recommended is made and sold by someone else. When you click through to a retailer, that link may be an affiliate link. If you buy something, we may receive a small commission from the retailer. The price you pay is not affected.

What commission does not do

It does not decide what we recommend. It does not decide what we say about a product. It does not remove the drawbacks from the Things to consider section. If a product suits only older children, or has pieces small enough to worry about, we say so regardless of what we earn.

We would rather lose a sale than have you buy something that does not suit your child.

How to spot an affiliate link

Affiliate products carry a Recommended by ScreenFreeFamily badge, a button reading Check Price or View Product rather than Add to Cart, and a disclosure directly beneath that button. The links also carry rel="nofollow sponsored", the technical standard for marking paid links.

A recommended product can never be added to a cart on this site. That is structural, not a styling choice.
