Privacy Policy

We are a small family business, not an advertising company. We collect the least we can get away with, and we do not sell your data to anyone. This page sets out exactly what we hold and why.

What we collect

When you buy something:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number and state, if you choose to give them
  • Your order history and download records

When you create an account: the same details, plus a password, which is stored encrypted and which we cannot read.

When you subscribe to our email list: your email address, and your name if you give it.

When you contact us: whatever you put in your message.

Automatically, when you visit: standard server logs including IP address, browser type and pages visited. This is ordinary web-server activity and we do not use it to identify individuals.

Through analytics: Google Analytics 4 records which pages were opened, roughly which country the visit came from, and whether it was a phone or a computer. It is aggregate, it does not identify you, and it is described in full in our Cookie Policy.

What we do not collect

  • We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Payment is handled entirely by Razorpay.
  • We do not collect information about your children.
  • We do not buy personal data from third parties.

Why we hold it

  • To deliver the product you paid for and give you access to re-download it.
  • To send order confirmations, download links and support replies.
  • To handle refunds, and to meet our obligations under Indian law.
  • To send marketing emails, but only if you asked for them.

We also use your name to personalise the digital file you purchase. Your name appears in the page footers of your copy, along with a unique Personal Copy ID.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run the business:

  • Razorpay — to process your payment.
  • Hostinger — our web and email host, where the site and its database live.
  • Our email provider — to deliver order and support email.
  • Google — in two separate roles. Google Analytics 4 measures how the site is used, as described in our Cookie Policy. Google Drive holds our off-site backups of the website and its database, which include order records, so that we can restore the site if it fails.

Each of these receives only what it needs. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We will disclose information if legally compelled to, and not otherwise.

Marketing email

We only email marketing to people who asked for it. Every such email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately. Order confirmations and download links are not marketing and are sent regardless, because they are the product.

How long we keep it

  • Order and purchase records: retained as long as needed for tax, accounting and dispute purposes.
  • Account details: until you ask us to delete them.
  • Marketing subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
  • Support emails: up to two years.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what data we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete your account and personal data
  • Stop sending you marketing

Email support@screenfreefamily.in. We will acknowledge within 48 hours and act within 30 days. Deleting your account also ends access to any files you have bought, so please download them first.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are stored encrypted. Purchased files are served through protected, expiring links rather than public URLs, so a file cannot be downloaded by anyone who has not bought it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and test it.

Children

Our products are made for children but sold to adults. This site is not intended for use by children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy materially, we will update the date at the top and, where it affects you meaningfully, tell you by email.
